Made of aluminum, brass, and steel by Carl Zeiss Jena, these 7 x 50 power binoculars are in EXCELLENT used condition! The lens bodies retain about 95% of their original, finish, and the aluminum end piece fittings are 100% intact! The focus adjustments still function perfectly on both eye pieces and the optics are still VERY clear, though a bit foggy (objective lenses are a dirty). Though this type was the standard, specialized personnel required stinger optics, and were issues to personnel on a limited basis. Used by Navy Search Light and Sound Locator units, these feature the RARE gas mask rubber eye cups, and the original case! The German Army and Navy used a wide variety of optical equipment, including a 6×30 (6 power magnification with 30mm objective lens), 7×50, 8×30, 10×50 and others, being the standard issued optics used by all branches of service.
